Rosemont approves Budweiser Lounge at Allstate Arena

Rosemont trustees Wednesday approved contracts for the construction of a Budweiser Lounge expected to open at the Allstate Arena before the end of the summer.

The total construction cost, shared among several subcontractors, will be $317,657. Rosemont's share of the improvement at the village-owned arena will be $150,000 with Budweiser paying the rest, Mayor Bradley Stephens said.

The future Budweiser Lounge is a room on the south end of the arena's first floor. The project mirrors that of the Jack Daniel's Club that opened on the upper east side of the building last year.

Both the club and lounge are intended to be open for all events at the Allstate Arena, Stephens said.

Anheuser-Busch, the brewer of Budweiser, is paying Rosemont more than $2.5 million over the course of five years for advertising at village-owned venues, including the Allstate Arena, Rosemont Theatre, Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, MB Financial Park and The Ballpark at Rosemont.

Brown-Forman Corp., which owns the Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey Brand, has a similar advertising agreement with the village.
