Moodhe applies for BG board vacancy

Adam Moodhe fell short of winning a seat on the Buffalo Grove village board last month, but he has applied for the vacancy created by Trustee Beverly Sussman's election as village president.

Last week, the village began soliciting applicants to fill Sussman's term, which expires on April 30, 2017. Candidates have until May 22 to apply and a decision could come by June.

In his letter of intent, Moodhe said that having grown up on the Lake County side of Buffalo Grove and now living on the Cook County side, he has "a unique perspective to some of the infrastructure and social issues that Buffalo Grove faces."

If appointed, he would be the only board member living on the Cook County side of town, he added.

Moodhe was on the Buffalo Grove Days committee twice, 1985-89 and 2001-now.

Buffalo Grove officials say the full list of candidates will be released after the May 22 deadline passes.
