Appeal Your Taxes

Palatine Township Assessor Terry Kelly has advised that his office is now open for pre-filing property tax appeals with the Cook County Assessor. Township residents can appeal the assessed value of their property. A reduction in the assessed value of your property can help reduce property taxes. The appeal process will end in mid-June, 2015.

The Palatine Township Assessor's Office can help residents file their appeals. Typically appeals are filed using comparable properties. The Palatine Township Assessor Office has a program that will list comparable properties and their values. This data can be used to file an appeal.

Palatine Township is located at 721 S. Quentin Road, across the street from Fremd High School. The Township is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4pm. The Assessor's Office is also open on Saturday from 8:30am to Noon. No appointment is necessary. Residents can call the Assessor's Office at 847-358-6164 with any questions.
