The PTO of Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 will host its 5th annual Run for D103 (formerly known as Run for the Fields) fundraiser at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, at Daniel Wright Junior High School, 1370 N. Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire. Proceeds will help fund many PTO programs, such as Links to Learning Grants, Extra for Extracurriculars and a new $25,000 star lab to supplement the science curriculum. The PTO encourages its students, parents, teachers and entire District 103 community to participate. The 5K course is chip timed, sanctioned and certified by the United State Association of Track and Field. Participants will receive T-shirts, free food, free massages and refreshments. Awards will be given for the top three finishers in various age groups. Last year, the D103 PTO earned more than $20,000, with nearly 800 runners/walkers participating.
