Griffin tabbed to lead CLC board

William Griffin has been selected as College of Lake County's new board chairman. Griffin, Richard Anderson and Amanda Howland were returned as CLC trustees in the April election by being the top three vote-getters for the 6-year seats. Anderson has served on the CLC board since 1974, Griffin since 1995 and Howland since 2009. Griffin, a retired energy industry executive, was tabbed by his peers at a recent meeting to be board chair, succeeding Howland. Griffin is a full-time business faculty member and department coordinator at Triton College in River Grove. He received an outstanding faculty member award at Triton in 2014.
