West Dundee man indicted on federal child porn allegations

A federal grand jury has indicted a 65-year-old West Dundee man on allegations of possessing and receiving child pornography.

Bruce H. Niggemann was arrested Wednesday at his home and is awaiting a Monday bond hearing, according to the U.S. attorneys office in Chicago.

Court papers indicate Niggemann received a 21-second video in July 2014 featuring an underage girl engaged in a sexual act. The video was on a computer that was seized by federal investigators, authorities said.

Prosecutors are also seeking to have Niggemann's computers and hard drives forfeited.

If convicted, Niggemann faces between 10 and 40 years in prison.
