Meat Loaf, Speedwagon, Hall & Oates coming to RiverEdge Park in Aurora

Tickets go on sale Monday for the outdoor summer concert season at RiverEdge Park in downtown Aurora that will feature performances by REO Speedwagon, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Meat Loaf, and Earth, Wind and Fire, organizers said Thursday.

The series opens June 13 with an appearance by the BoDeans and continues through the summer with shows at the John C. Dunham performance pavilion in the 30-acre park at 360 N. Broadway along the east bank of the Fox River. The pavilion, now in its third season, seats 8,500.

Tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. April 20 at RiverEdgeAurora.com. They also will be available beginning April 27 by calling the RiverEdge box office at (630) 896-6666 or from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays at the park's satellite box office at the Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd. Discounts are available on tickets purchased before June 1.

Here's a quick look at the schedule:

• BoDeans at 8 p.m. June 13. Tickets: $25 through May 31, $40 starting June 1.

• Blues on the Fox at 7 p.m. June 19 and 3 p.m. June 20. Tickets: $10 a day through May 31; $20 a day starting June 1. Children 12 and younger free when accompanied by an adult. June 19 show features Royal Southern Brotherhood and North Mississippi Allstars. June 20 show features Moreland & Arbuckle, Otis Taylor Band, Mavis Staples and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.

• Smash Mouth, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Tonic at 8 p.m. July 10. Tickets: $30 through May 31; $45 starting June 1.

• REO Speedwagon at 8 p.m. July 18. Tickets: $30 through May 31; $45 starting June 1.

• Rock the Yacht Tour: Little River Band, Ambrosia, Player, Stephen Bishop and Robbie Dupree at 8 p.m. July 24. Tickets: $20 through May 31; $35 starting June 1.

• Daryl Hall & John Oates at 8 p.m. July 31. Tickets: $50 through May 31; $60 starting June 1.

• Get the Led Out: Led Zeppelin Tribute Band at 8 p.m. Aug. 21. Tickets: $5 through May 31; $15 starting June 1.

• Earth, Wind and Fire at 8 p.m. Aug. 22. Tickets: $30 through May 31; $45 starting June 1.

• Meat Loaf at 7 p.m. Aug. 23. Tickets: $30 through May 31; $45 starting June 1.

In addition, Aurora's Downtown Alive! outdoor music series will return to the park with shows July 17, featuring One of These Nights: Eagles Tribute Band and Cowboy Jukebox, and Aug. 7, featuring Maggie Speaks and Catfight. Tickets for Downtown Alive! performances are $1 if purchased before June 1.
