LOCAL HISTORIAN DEBUTS NEW CLASSES AT HARPER COLLEGE

Louis Sullivan's vision for a new American architecture, Frank Lloyd Wright's unknown Florida college campus, and architect Frank Gehry's worldwide works will be among the non-credit adult education classes beginning April 8 at Harper College's Wojick Conference Center, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.

Award-winning journalist and historian Jerome M. O'Connor first visits and photographs each site, then takes months to research and assemble each program into a visual format.

This is O'Connors fifth year at Harper, with classes already filling. He was awarded the US Naval Institute's Author of the Year in 2001, and was the first journalist to reveal the existence of Winston Churchill's mythic London Cabinet War Rooms in 1978. To register call Harper's Continuing Education Department at 847-925-6026.
