Students part of Ag Days at Mooseheart

The Kane County Farm Bureau held its 31st annual Ag Days at Mooseheart near Batavia.

About a dozen classes from five area schools watched and took part in short presentations Thursday on agricultural topics, livestock and farm machinery led by farmers and presenters from many facets of the agriculture industry.

They rotated through about 20 stations to learn of such Kane County commodities as soybeans, corn, pork, beef, dairy, poultry and vegetables. They also had a chance have a hands-on visit with farm animals, including pigs, sheep, chickens and a goat.
