Believe Project: $100 for food pantry at a time when donations are low

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Marian Scarbrough of Lincolnshire.

Here is an excerpt of her suggestion:

"My daughter and her friend help the community in many ways. During the holidays pantries receive more donations than they do now. In 2014 the COOL Pantry served 58,895 people in Waukegan. We will shop for good food at reasonable prices to provide as many items as possible. My daughter will donate baby-sitting money and I will add $50. We hope to provide food for the pantry at a time of the year when there is a need but not the same amount of donations."

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else.
