Believe Project: $100 for young man who spent formative years helping dad with MS

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Joanne Dellert of Hawthorn Woods.

Here is an excerpt of her suggestion:

"I would like to nominate a young man named Nicholas. When Nicholas was little, his father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Through the years, Nicholas has helped with his father's care and with being the 'man' around the house. He has been an incredible big brother to his younger brother.

"A little over a year ago, Nicholas's family went through bankruptcy and lost their home.

"Nicholas worked very hard in school to receive scholarships for college and is currently a freshman at UIC pursuing a physics degree. I would love for him to receive this $100 to continue to help him with college."

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else.
