Man robbed in Des Plaines strip mall parking lot
Des Plaines police are looking for a man they say robbed a victim late Friday night in the parking lot of a strip mall on the 900 block of Elmhurst Road.
According to a police report, the unidentified man entered the cab of the victim's truck about 11:55 p.m. Friday and said "give me what you got," while pointing an unknown object. The victim handed over $150 in cash to the robber, who also grabbed the victim's GPS unit valued at about $200, before leaving the truck.
The report described the robber a Hispanic man standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 170 pounds.
