Would you keep, eliminate or change them? How and why?If programs are providing a need to the park district community, they don't have to pay for themselves. They are paid for by our taxes and other revenue sources. Many programs do have a user fee such as the clay tennis courts that I use. These user fees do help support the park district budget, primarily funded by taxes. However, there is no mandate that they pay the entire cost of such programs. Cost is one factor, along with value and need that determines keeping or cancelling current and future programs that have a user fee.Is there any additional open space the park district needs to acquire? Please describe. To best of my knowledge there is no additional open space that the park district needs to acquire. Are there any unmet recreational needs? If yes, what are they and how would you propose paying for them? Or, should they wait until the economy improves? We have so many recreational opportunities at our 31 parks, I am not aware of any not being met. However, I'm sure there may be some. I would reach out for community feedback to determine what they might be, if any.Would you support sharing/pooling resources (i.e. printing, vehicles) with other local governments (school districts, village, etc.)? If so, what areas would you consider combining or merging to save money or improve efficiency?I support the concept of sharing/pooling resources to save money.
