Involved with local organizations ie, Amvets,Township,Kiwansis club,Moose club. Various commissions,zoning,blood, community development,public safety. etc.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.With our current budget we are not projecting any increases in our sales or property taxes. In fact, we reduced the property tax rate by .05%.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?We are in a good place with our Safety Departments. We continue to upgrade our facilities and technology as necessary. We recently reopened Fire Station 33 to enhance safety while lowering response times.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?We do workshops each year to look at ways we can contiinue to live within our means. We allocate funds for Capital Improvements and equipment replacement as necessary. Our road replacement program is one of the best in the northwest suburbs.What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?Would like to see more Community involvement. Ways to have the community input their concerns/suggestions to the Village Board.
