Would you keep, eliminate or change them? How and why?There are always ways to improve programming, but it begins with people being specific in their wants and needs. Focus on what the desired outcome is helps drive good programming.Is there any additional open space the park district needs to acquire? Please describe.Responsibily maintance for current space is paramount. I have great respect in the Park District Administration that quality is dring quantity. The integrity that they maintain in District space is easily recognized.Are there any unmet recreational needs? If yes, what are they and how would you propose paying for them? Or, should they wait until the economy improves?Programming for the post high school community memebers is an area that I feel can be better served. When presented with this question I did what comes as an initial response-brainstorm with all especially with those that have the most investment. Many ideas come through but one resonananted,programs that allow for involvement in networking with community resource, Opportunities for healthy recreation,personal develpoment and voluntering can tap into the many diverse experiences that we have in our communities.Would you support sharing/pooling resources (i.e. printing, vehicles) with other local governments (school districts, village, etc.)? If so, what areas would you consider combining or merging to save money or improve efficiency?When choosing a community to raise my family. I made a list of priorities. A place that provided a place for growth in education, faith and strong community supports. We have found that the Round Lake Area has strongly interwoven these factors successfully.The Park District notably utilizes all these resources and seeks to establish connections where none existed, or strengthen those that had begun.If you are a newcomer, what prompted you to run for the park board? If you're an incumbent, list your accomplishments or key initiatives in which you played a leadership role.I was appointed to the Board a year ago. I was very excited to be a part of a program that I have always felt pride in when describing my community. My family has enjoyed an active relationship with the Park District and I felt it was my time to be play it back and participate in a more active role. I went in knowing I had a lot to learn about specifics to Park District Boards but knew I was bringing talents that could be of help. My strenghths lie in awareness of what is strong in the Round Lake Community and areas that we can strengthen.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Candidate did not respond.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Roycelee Woods the Superintendent of Lake County Schools has addressed the needs of a rapidly growing and diverse district.What's the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?The importance of family and enjoying a variety of experiences together.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?I have enjoyed my many experiences in the community, I would have started earlier if I had known the mutual realization of goals.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Language Arts opened a whole world to me allowing me to gain and share knowledge beyond my front door.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Be who you want to be always, even when know one is looking or realizes what you have accomplished.
