'Put the NUNS in Charge!' comedy show in West Dundee

Enjoy an entertaining evening and reminder of Catholic life as the National Catholic Society of Foresters presents the irreverent and nostalgic show "Put the NUNS in charge!" at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 11, in the St. Catherine of Siena School gym, 845 W. Main St. in West Dundee.

You don't have to be Catholic to get a kick out of the "Put the NUNS in Charge!" comedy but the experience of this show is all the more savored by those who attended Catholic school.

This is an actual "on the road" adaptation of the popular theater production that has been playing at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago for the past year. "Put the NUNS in Charge!" is written and produced by Vicki Quade, one of the creators of the original "Late Nite Catechism."

Tickets are $20 each in advance and $25 at the door. This event is a kick-off for the chartering of the National Catholic Society of Foresters new court at St. Catherine's, and will raise funds to purchase a new Corpus, which is the Body of Christ on the cross, located above the main altar at St. Catherine of Siena Church. The National Catholic Society of Foresters will match up to $1,000 of the show's proceeds to benefit the campaign.

Headquartered in Mount Prospect, it is a fraternal benefit society founded in 1891 to offer life insurance and annuities to Catholic families. Its motto, "Love, Benevolence, and Charity," has encouraged members to perform charitable, patriotic, and religious activities with and for members and non-members alike.
