Elgin Symphony League to host ESO timpany musician Bobby Everson

The Elgin Symphony League will hold its first general meeting of the year at noon Thursday, March 5, at Evangelical Covenant Church, 1565 Larkin Ave., Elgin.

Elgin Symphony Orchestra timpanist Bobby Everson will be the guest speaker at the luncheon meeting. Everson, who has been hailed by the Chicago Tribune as a "most outstanding performer", also performs with many orchestras in the Chicago area including the Chicago Philharmonic, the Lake Forest Symphony and the Joffrey Ballet Orchestra.

Reservations are requested, and the cost for the luncheon is $15. However, prospective members are guests for the first meeting they attend. Other paying non-members are also welcome.

The league is always looking for new members.

If you enjoy music and want to hear the guest speakers share their careers and interests as well as enjoy the company of other music aficionados, reserve a spot by calling Jeanne Hebeisen at (847) 741-6264, or email Jeanne@mc.net.

The Elgin Symphony League is a nonprofit organization of volunteers that supports the award-winning Elgin Symphony Orchestra. Membership is open to anyone who loves music.
