Join in National Girl Scout Weekend Feb. 27-March 1

On Friday, Feb. 27 through Sunday, March 1, Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois will participate in National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, a celebration of all the fun and excitement girls have selling Girl Scout Cookies.

National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend will give girls in northern Illinois a chance to show off their cookie-selling skills by participating in booth and direct sales throughout the area.

National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend also gives GSNI an opportunity to highlight some of its most innovative and successful cookie entrepreneurs and what they plan on doing with their cookie money to benefit their communities. Through the cookie program's "5 Skills," each amazing young #cookieboss develops creative and resourceful ways to sell cookies. The more cookies girls sell, the more money they have to invest in community service projects, learning experiences, and travel opportunities.

During National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, hungry cookie customers will also get the chance to try Rah-Rah Raisins and the gluten-free Toffee-tastic, the new cookies making their debut during the 2015 cookie season. Rah-Rah Raisins are hearty oatmeal cookies with plump raisins and Greek yogurt-flavored chunks.

Toffee-tastic delivers all the taste of rich, buttery toffee cookies with none of the gluten. Legendary classics like Thin Mints, Samoas, and Tagalongs will also be available, so join in the fun during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend and find Girl Scouts selling cookies near you.

Visit www.girlscoutcookies.org or use the official Girl Scout Cookie Finder app, free for your iOS or Android phone or mobile device.
