Wauconda to reschedule meetings to avoid conflict

Following a complaint from the Daily Herald, Wauconda officials have decided to reschedule the meetings of one of the village board's committees so they're not held simultaneously with another committee's sessions. On Tuesday, the board's marketing committee and the license and administration committee met at the same time at village hall, which meant village officials and residents were unable to attend both. The board discussed the issue at a separate meeting Tuesday night, and trustees agreed one of the meetings should be rescheduled in the future.

Officials haven't yet determined which group's schedule will change. The issue should be resolved in time for March's meetings, Village Administrator Doug Maxeiner said.
