March 5: Jobapalooza Expo job fair for ages 16-21

Young adult job seekers are invited to attend the annual Jobapalooza Expo sponsored by the College of Lake County and the Job Center of Lake County from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 to talk with hiring employers.

This free event provides employment, training, and resource opportunities and is designed for young adults ages 16-21 who are looking for full-time, part-time or seasonal positions. Jobapalooza Expo also provides information about the training and resources needed to enhance young adults' career prospects.

More than 50 organizations will be present, including employers and resource and training providers. A complete list of participating Jobapalooza Expo organizations is available online at www.clcillinois.edu/cps.

Participants will receive information about the education and training required for different jobs, plus information on work permits, Social Security cards, personal finances and more. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes or personal business cards to hand out to employers. Since first impressions count with potential employers, job seekers who have "dressed to impress" could win a prize.

Jobapalooza Expo will be held in the CLC Physical Education Center (Building 7) on the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington Street. It is being sponsored by the College of Lake County Career and Placement Services Center and Job Center of Lake County.
