Interpro marks 20 years of translating, growth, mobile apps

After 20 years, Lisle-based Interpro Translation Solutions has seen what impact technology has had.

The company started out translating software and documentation for companies. But as technology advanced and company needs changed, Interpro added e-commerce websites, mobile apps and advanced eLearning courses.

“In regards to eLearning, we are working with file formats that many times integrate interactive graphics, assessments, and professional studio voice-over recordings,” said Nick Strozza, vice president of marketing and sales. “As for our clients, we have seen a steady double-digit increase in new clients in the past three years. Since 2009 we have worked on over 4,500 client translation projects.”

The company was founded in 1995 by Nick's father, Ralph Strozza, who remains as CEO. Interpro is a professional translation services company that assists businesses and organization with localizing their content into foreign languages worldwide, such as French, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese, among others.

Last year, the company translated content into 70 languages for clients. The company translated software, websites, documents, eLearning and training programs, videos and mobile content, among other types of content in about 1,000 projects for roughly 200 companies worldwide.

Clients have included Lions Clubs, Zebra Technologies, American Heart Association, Littelfuse and others.

“We are built to help a wide range of industries including manufacturing, software, tourism, nonprofits, education, and technology,” Nick Strozza said.

What hasn't changed is that Interpro still aims to help companies reach the right clients and allow their employees to get the right training in their own language, Strozza said.

“We work with real native-speaking translators around the world and have a multilingual group here in our office in Lisle as well,” Nick said. “We do not use machine translation, so everything we do is about quality.”
