District 211 Honors Orchestra Concert Feb. 14

Some of the most advanced Palatine-Schaumburg Township High School District 211 band and orchestra students will showcase their talents during a concert in front of the community Saturday night.

This year's District 211 Honors Orchestra Concert will be held at 7 p.m. at Fremd High School, 1000 S. Quentin Road in Palatine. The show is free and open to the public.

Band and orchestra students districtwide will be part of the performance. The orchestra will play music of Hindemith, Mendelssohn, and Copeland.

The guest conductor for the performance is Timothy Semanik, music director for the Bradley Symphony Orchestra. He has a diverse conducting background, and has worked equally in the orchestral, operatic, and choral fields.
