Hubbard, Rassman pace Loyola (Md) past Lafayette 62-43

BALTIMORE (AP) - Tyler Hubbard had 14 points to lead Loyola of Maryland to a 62-43 win over Lafayette on Wednesday night.

Franz Rassman scored 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting for Loyola (10-14, 6-7 Patriot League). The Greyhounds outrebounded Lafayette 35-26.

Nick Lindner had 12 points for Lafayette (14-10, 6-7).

The Greyhounds took a 20-13 lead midway through the first half, and then traded runs en route to a nine-point advantage at the half.

The second half was much of the same as Loyola scored the first seven points of the half. After Lafayette scored on back-to-back possessions following the run, Loyola went on a 14-0 spurt - with seven points by Hubbard - to stretch its lead to 28.

The Greyhounds led by as many as 30 points in the second half, but the Leopards scored 14 straight in the closing minutes.
