St. Viator falls short at Joliet Catholic

Despite a strong fourth quarter in which St. Viator outscored Joliet Catholic 14-13, the Lions fell 79-36 to the Angels on Wednesday night in East Suburban Catholic Conference girls basketball action in Joliet.

Freshman Myia Clark led the visitors with 17 points including seven in the fourth period.

Jessica Hohlweg added 5 points and 2 rebounds for Viator finished the regular season at 9-18 and 3-7 in the East Suburban Catholic Conference.

Glenbard West 59, Leyden 55: Alondra Chavarria (20 points) and Artasia Gusman (13, three 3-pointers) led the Eagles in scoring in a West Suburban Conference divisional crossover.
