Ash Wednesday services at St. Thomas Church accommodate busy weekday schedules

All are welcome to attend a service at a time most convenient for them to commemorate the beginning of Lent, the 40-day season of preparation for Easter.

The schedule of services is:

6:30 & 8:30 a.m. - Masses with distribution of ashes

12:00 p.m. - Prayer Service with distribution of ashes until 1:00 p.m.

4:30 p.m. - Prayer Service with distribution of ashes, led by participants in the Faith Formation Program

7:30 p.m. - Mass with distribution of ashes

Traditionally, the ashes used to make the Sign of the Cross on peoples' foreheads are the burned remains of palms used during the previous year's Palm Sunday services.
