District 54 to explain PARCC test

A free informational session on the new Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) will be presented by Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 administrators from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Professional Learning Center, 522 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg.

This school year, Illinois students will take the new PARCC assessments instead of the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT).

At the session, officials will explain how PARCC is different from ISAT and what District 54 has done to prepare students for success.

The session will be in English, and child care is available.

To register, contact Meg Kwak at (847) 357-5191 or SPU@sd54.org.
