GLMV Chamber Names 2015 board of directors

The Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills Chamber of Commerce named its 2015 board of directors, who were introduced at the chamber's annual dinner Jan. 23 at Independence Grove in Libertyville.

Board members comprise a variety of businesses and industries in the GLMV area, and contribute their time and talents to serve the chamber and business community.

The 2015 board includes executive committee officers Chairman Marty Rafter, Baird & Warner - Lake County; Vice Chair Diane Phillips, Community High School District 128; Treasurer Sue Witz, BIK & Co.; Secretary Bruce Himmelblau, Blue Sky Video Productions; and Immediate Past Chairman - Jim Butler, JHB Technology Consulting Inc.

New directors elected in 2014 for three-year terms are Michael Babicz, Riverside Foundation; Dave Martin, MRA - The Management Association; and Galina Veksler, MB Financial Bank.

They join returning directors Steve Bowman, Express Employment Professionals; John Kalmar, Village of Vernon Hills; Karen Lavris, Glacier Ice Arena; John Lobaito, Village of Mundelein; Rich Moras, Village of Libertyville; Elaine Palmer, Village of Green Oaks, and Christine Vicik, Advocate Condell Medical Center.

In his Chairman's Message, Marty Rafter urged all members to make an impact with their business.

"Point out to your contacts how they can benefit from chamber membership, and also support your fellow chamber members when purchasing products or services," he said.
