Holiday Amaretto Cake
1 box (18.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
9 ounces amaretto, divided
1 box (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup water
⅓ teaspoon almond extract
½ cup confectioner's sugar, sifted
½ cup confectioner's sugar
3 tablespoons milk
Heat oven to 350 degrees Spray a bundt cake pan well with cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl combine cake mix, eggs, 6 ounces amaretto, pudding mix, oil, water and extract; whisk until well combined.
Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake 40-45 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.
On a small bowl. combine 3 ounces amaretto and confectioners sugar until well combined. While cake is still warm in the pan, poke holes in the cake and pour liqueur mixture over all.
Allow cake to cool for 15 minutes in pan before inverting onto a serving plate.
For the glaze: In a small bowl combine confectioner's sugar and milk until well combined. Drizzle glaze over cooled cake.
