Home and Garden Expo returns to Drury Lane

Lou Manfredini knows a little something about home improvement projects and, more importantly, he's comfortable sharing that knowledge with both experts and those who don't necessarily know which end of the hammer is used to strike a nail.

The host of WGN Radio's "Mr. Fix-It" show and WGN-TV's "HouseSmarts," Manfredini will be one of the guest speakers when the Home and Garden Expo returns Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 24 and 25, to the Drury Lane Theater and Event Center in Oakbrook Terrace.

The free show will display hundreds of home improvement products and services presented by local and national experts in a 30,000-square-foot setting that will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Manfredini will offer tips and field questions from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, during one of the free seminars that will be offered hourly throughout the event.

Sessions and exhibits will address a variety of home improvement needs for both inside and outside the home.
