Rauner spokesman says Quinn executive orders 'under review'

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - The fate of three executive orders that Pat Quinn issued before he left the Illinois governor's office is unclear. New Gov. Bruce Rauner's spokesman says they're "under review."

Quinn issued the orders Monday as Rauner was readying to take the oath. One requires state vendors and subcontractors to pay a $10 minimum wage, up from $8.25. Another requires governors to make personal income tax returns public. A third requires the state to make agency data publicly available through an online portal.

Rauner spent part of his first full day in office reversing nearly 200 Quinn appointments. Rauner spokesman Lance Trover didn't detail Tuesday what would happen with the orders aside from saying they were under consideration.

Some lawmakers questioned the orders. Democratic state Rep. Lou Lang says Rauner could easily undo them.
