O'Hare Noise Advisory Committee to meet

The first meeting of the O'Hare Airport Noise Advisory Committee will take place Thursday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. at Park Ridge City Hall, 505 Butler Place.

State Rep. Marty Moylan, a Des Plaines Democrat, is encouraging any interested residents of the 55th District to join the committee by calling (847) 635-6821, or emailing staterepmoylan@gmail.com.

"Airplane noise is a major issue for the residents of my district as new runways at O'Hare International Airport have resulted in flight paths going over areas not previously affected by noise," Moylan said in a news release. "My goal for this group is to work on practicable and economically viable solutions to the growing presence of airplane noise."

Moylan is also reaching out to the Chicago Department of Aviation, the Federal Aviation Administration and other local elected officials.
