Kids meet Santa at Lambs Farm breakfast
With only a few more days before Christmas, children had a chance to meet with St. Nick at Lambs Farm's last Breakfast with Santa event for the season.
"At the Magnolia Cafe, the people here are wonderful. All the boys and girls and all the moms and dads come and visit me," Santa said with a smile. "All you have to do is be nice, and Santa comes with presents."
Santa fans entered the door to the cafe with a welcoming sign from Blitzen and then on to a buffet of omelettes, french toasts, bacon and sausage, and a pastry bar.
Children wore Santa hats and reindeer antlers as they anxiously waited their turn to meet Santa.
"Santa asked me what I'd like for Christmas," said 6-year-old Ashley Mora of Highwood as she wore a Santa hat. "I want a bicycle. He's going to give me presents."
Almost 400 children and their families enjoyed a buffet brunch at the Magnolia Cafe & Bakery, followed by visits and photos with Santa. The restaurant held three seating times Sunday to accommodate the guests.
After brunch, kids headed to craft stations to decorate holiday picture frames and gingerbread men and make ornaments. There were also holiday-themed temporary tattoos.
