No challengers so far in Elk Grove Village board race

So far no challengers have lined up to face the three longest-serving trustees on the Elk Grove Village board.

Incumbent Trustees James Petri, Sam Lissner and Nancy Czarnik filed nomination papers this week for re-election.

For the library board, incumbents Sheryl Stogis and Donald Henderson are seeking two 6-year term seats available, while T.R. Johnson and Michael Urban will compete for the lone 2-year term. Johnson is the son of Mayor Craig Johnson, and Urban recently lost to Tim Schneider for Cook County Board commissioner.

For the park board, incumbents Bill O'Malley and Ralph Souder have filed, along with newcomer Dale Elsner, for two 6-year term positions available.

Candidates have until Monday afternoon to file.
