There will be a contested race for the Schaumburg Township District Library board April 7, with five candidates already having filed for three available seats.

Filing their nominating papers Monday were incumbents Julie Wroblewski Bosshart and Nick Scipione of Schaumburg and newcomers Theresa "Terry" Seyring and Jillian Bernas of Schaumburg and Lisa Trousdale of Hanover Park.

Leaving the seven-member board at the end of this term will be Debby Miller of Hoffman Estates, who's decided not to run again. Miller has served as a library trustee since the early 1970s, except for a two-year break a few years ago after she was removed from the ballot for a paperwork error.
