Naperville man charged with taking picture up shopper's skirt

A Naperville man accused of taking a cellphone photo up a woman's skirt is facing a charge of disorderly conduct, authorities said.

Don A. Anderson, 67, was charged after being identified by a woman whom he is accused of photographing in September, Naperville police said.

Police said Anderson was at the downtown Barnes & Noble when he is accused of taking a picture of a 23-year-old woman wearing a skirt while she was bending over to look at a book.

The woman later identified Anderson, who lives on the 300 block of Martin Avenue, before police took him into custody Thursday on a $10,000 warrant.

Sgt. Bill Davis said Anderson posted $1,000 bail and is due to appear Jan. 12 in DuPage County court.

Anderson faces a maximum penalty of 30 days in jail, according to the state's attorney's office.

Police said Anderson also is accused of taking inappropriate photos of other young women at a Starbucks and the Paper Source shop in downtown Naperville, but he has not been charged in either of those cases.
