Runnning clubs offer safey tips in Palatine

Two area running clubs are offering a runner safety discussion from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Palatine Public Library, Room 1, 700 N. North Court, Palatine. Several speakers will be sharing information on how to maximize runner safety.

Speakers include Kellie Poliquin, Palatine Police Department Crime Prevention officer and runner; Michael McCarthy, Krav Maga instructor at Flo Fitness; a self-defense trainer; and Leo Tyska, HIP founder and techy.

This event is being presented by the Hoffman/Inverness/Palatine running club and Prairie Dogs Multi-Sport Club.
