Three incumbents file for re-election in North Aurora

Trustees Mark Carroll, Laura Curtis and Mark Guethle filed petitions Monday morning seeking re-election to the North Aurora village board.

Three four-year terms are available.

Curtis is seeking her second term. Guethle was a trustee from 2003 to 2005, and from 2009 to the present. Carroll was appointed in May to serve the remainder of the term of Ryan Lambert, who had resigned.

They all filed at 8 a.m. Monday, so a lottery will be conducted to determine their position on the ballot.

Candidates have until 5 p.m. Nov. 24 to file their petitions at the village hall, 25 E. State St. The consolidated election is in April. If seven or more people file petitions, a primary will be held Feb. 24 to narrow the field.
