Vote for your favorite decorated tree at Gail Borden

Almost 50 elaborately decorated holiday trees are brightening the Gail Borden Library rotunda in downtown Elgin until Friday.

Each tree in The 14th Annual Festival of Trees is sponsored by a local business. The public can vote, by ballot, in the library, for their favorites. At the end of the week, the trees and wreaths will be auctioned off at a party benefiting The Ecker Center for Mental Health in Elgin.

The party is 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hoffman Estates Marriott Hotel at Interstate 90 and Route 59. Honorary chairman of the event is Elgin Police Chief Jeff Swoboda.

For more information and to view the trees online, go to www.festoftreeselgin.org.
