Hammerand, Wheeler win McHenry Board Dist. 4 race

Incumbent Republican John Hammerand and Republican newcomer Charles Wheeler secured two open seats on the McHenry County Board for District 4, unofficial results show.

Hammerand, 62, of Wonder Lake, is a small-business owner with 16 years on the board. He secured another four-year term.

Wheeler, 57, of McHenry, owns a Lakemoor business and was elected earlier this year as treasurer of the McHenry County Republican Central Committee.

District 4 incumbent Republican Sandra Fay Salgado's term expires this year. She is not seeking re-election.

The district includes Richmond, Burton and most of McHenry townships, including Richmond, Spring Grove, Johnsburg and McCullom Lake, and parts of McHenry, Wonder Lake and Bull Valley.
