Neal named township road commissioner:

Businessman Martin J. Neal has been appointed Libertyville Township highway commissioner. Neal has 25 years of business and management experience, including 20 years as owner of Pine Tree Pet Super Center in Libertyville. He was selected from eight candidates to complete the term of Mike Graham, who resigned last month after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor count of attempted unlawful stringing of bids. Neal will complete the current term of the $85,233 per year post, which ends in mid-May 2017. His immediate priorities are planning for winter snow and ice removal, addressing road maintenance needs and assessing road projects. Neal, son of the late Libertyville Mayor Paul Neal, most recently was the director of business development and property manager for Axiom Marketing in the village, where he lives with his wife and four children.
