Schneider truly represents us
A recent Daily Herald article noted former Rep. Bob Dold's recent rhetoric that he supports the Affordable Care Act, or as it is more popularly known, Obamacare. It is important for voters to know that when Bob Dold had his chance in Congress, he voted with Republicans, repeatedly, over 28 times, to repeal and chip away at the health care law. Portraying himself as one who has stood to fix the law is disingenuous at best when, in fact, he had repeatedly voted with the Tea Party Republicans in Congress to dismantle the Affordable Care Act.
This is an important issue facing thousands of families in Illinois. The health care law has granted many families in our state greater access to affordable care. We can't go back to a time when insurance companies could kick someone off their insurance just because they got sick or when pre-existing conditions allowed companies to refuse care.
Brad Schneider has shown us in his first term representing the 10th District that he will stand up to the special interest groups in Washington. He truly represents us. His voting record is clear. Your vote for Schneider will help to guarantee access to medical care, women's reproductive health care, and a commitment to growing jobs for the world we live in today.
