The Wheeling High School "Wildcat" Marching Band was recognized at Wheeling's 50th Anniversary Homecoming Football Game October 17th for their

2014 undefeated competition season.

The Wildcat Band is directed by Brian Logan and Emily Malamud.

The 2014 staff: Brian Boron (Student Teacher), Stephanie Melinyshn (Color Guard), Brian Spicer & Jena Spaulding (Percussion), Pete Weber & Chelsie Coren (Visual Design), Wayne Markworth & Erick Eckstrom (Music Arrangers).

The Field Show Program is entitled Blues & Beyond with musical selections:

Basically Blues, Since I Fell For You, and La Fiesta.

Drum Majors: Kanae Ono & Yasmin Reynoso

Color Guard Captains: Erika Pogorzelska, Andrea Sennet and A.J. Aepeda

Drum Captain: Matt Browne

Soloists: Paul Wagner, Patrick Ryan, Jesse Villalobos, Anthony

Gonzalez, Lewis Manoxios, A.J. Zepeda, Tiffany Nop, Bill

Broms, Cole Dammeier, Eugene Yakobovich, Andrea Sennet,

A.J. Zepeda, Camey Zussman, Anna Markiewicz, Molly Kalmes,

and Jackie Broms.

2014 Awards

Lake Park Lancer Joust Sept. 13 Scores: 71.75 & 71.65

Prelims: 1st in Class AA & Best Music. Finals: 3rd place

Chicagoland Marching Band Festival hosted by Wheeling High School and judged in exhibition Sept. 20 Score: 75.85

Highest scores in Class AA, Best Music, General Effect and Drum Majors.

Naperville Central Marching Classic Sept. 27 Score: 76.00

1st Place in class AA, Best Music, General Effect and Drum Majors.

Prospect High School Knight of Champions Oct. 4 Score: 77.90

1st place in class AA, Best Music, Visuals and General Effect.

Marengo Settler's Days Festival Oct. 12 Score: 81.45

1st place in Class AAA, Parade and Field Show, Best Music, Visuals, General Effect, Percussion, Color Guard and Grand Champion.
