Girl Scouts open Camp Explorers

Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois will open Camp Dean, 46W253 Camp Dean Road, Big Rock to the public for a Camp Explorers program from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.

This youth and family-friendly event will include cardboard boat races, archery, crate stacking, fishing, and a scavenger hunt.

Cost is $15 per youth, $5 per adult. It includes all activities and a cookout lunch on the grounds.

Advance registration is required by Wednesday, Oct. 15.

To ensure the safety of all participants, some activities will depend on the age of participant. All individual children and groups of children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.
