District 79 candidates:

Nominating petition forms for the April 7, 2015, Fremont Elementary District 79 school board are available. Forms may be picked up in the district office, 28855 N. Fremont Center Road, on any business day between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The first day candidates could circulate nominating papers was Sept. 23. A candidate's petition must be filed in the Lake County Clerk's Office between 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, and 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 22. Candidates' names will appear on the ballot in the order in which their nominating papers are received in the secretary's office. Three seats on the seven-member board will be filled. Candidates elected will serve four-year terms expiring in April 2019. To be eligible to serve, a school board member must be, on the date of election, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years old, a resident of the state of Illinois and the school district for at least one year immediately preceding the election, and a registered voter.
