Foreman appointed to vets group:

Fred Foreman, an Air Force veteran and retired chief judge of Lake County circuit court, has been appointed the special counsel of the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes. Now a senior counsel at Freeborn & Peters LLP in Chicago, Foreman's trial experience includes the areas of antitrust, securities, environment, constitutional law, civil rights, fraud and murder. The coalition said its policies and procedures are expanding and needed expert advice. The coalition is based in Leesburg, Va. It works on behalf of veterans wounded in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Its direct financial assistance program has stopped foreclosure proceedings and kept veterans' homes from being repossessed.
