Hawthorn Woods family fest:
Hawthorn Woods residents are invited to attend the annual Hawthorn Woods Fall Family Fun Fest on Saturday, Sept. 6, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Aquatic Center. The free event includes swimming in the pool, touch-a-truck, arts and crafts, and on a mini-train ride. There's also a concert with Chuckaroo and the Fabulous Memories. Public works department employees will grill complimentary hot dogs, while supplies last. Residents are invited to meet staff members from all departments including building, public works, police, and more.
