Dundee-Crown shuts out Harlem

Dundee-Crown 2, Harlem 0: It only took 5 minutes for the Chargers (1-0) to notch their first goal of the season, and it was all thanks to Andrew Janikowski, who helped D-C open the season with a nonconference win. Freddy Martinez accounted for the other Charger goal, as Will Campos served up both assists in the first half.

Leyden 1, Larkin 0: Royals goalkeeper Leo Perez made 4 saves but Larkin came up short in a 1-0 nonconference loss at Memorial Field.

Rainout theater: Crystal Lake South, Hampshire and Huntley were all postponed due to storms that rolled through the area. CLS will make up its game with Marengo Saturday at 10 a.m. The Red Raiders will travel back to Rockford to play Boylan at 5 p.m. today.
