Duckworth right on with 'deserter' comment

I support Tammy Duckworth completely when she says businesses that leave the USA to employ cheap labor are deserters. Tammy is right on two counts. First, any business that leaves America is depriving our citizens of their livelihood, which deprives the business of a market for their products, and the penalty for this should be that they lose their import license for this country. So they not only destroy the economy of this country, but they will eventually lose their profitability.

The second count is the fact that the other countries, where these businesses go, are not paying a living wage and the unions here should take the same position as Tammy, since their wages are being undercut. Remember the case of Whirlpool, which closed its factories in Indiana and Ohio to go to Mexico? I am sure the workers there remember.

Also I take issue with the statement by Sen. Mark Kirk, who said "as a veteran." I remember when he was running for the Senate and there were big questions about his service record. How he could compare himself to Tammy, a decorated and badly injured war veteran, astonishes me.
