Naperville woman dies in Aurora crash

A 92-year-old Naperville woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Route 59 in Aurora, according to authorities.

According to a release by Aurora police, Dorothy Lineback, 92, was driving south and attempted to make a left turn in front of an oncoming sedan, which caused a head-on collision in the intersection of Rt. 59 and Entrance No. 1 of the Westfield Fox Valley Mall/La Fox Ave.

Lineback of Naperville, was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:33 p.m.

The driver of the sedan was not injured in the crash. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Aurora Police were not able to be reached for comment late Sunday night on the status of the investigation into the crash and if any citations had been issued.

The intersection was shut down until 8:30 p.m.
