Chicago plans another Jackie Robinson watch party

The city of Chicago plans to host another watch party for fans of Jackie Robinson West, the team playing in the Little League World Series.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says the city will host the watch party Thursday evening as the baseball team plays the Taney Little League squad from Pennsylvania, which lost Wednesday 8-1 to Mountain Ridge of Las Vegas. The mayor says the team's hard work and perseverance have inspired "every neighborhood across Chicago."

The watch party will be held at Jackie Robinson Park with the game shown at 6:30 p.m. Bad weather could move the watch party into the auditorium of Mt. Vernon Elementary School, directly north of Jackie Robinson Park.

The Little League World Series takes place in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
